May contain natural foreign materials; sort and rinse before cooking. Quick Soak: Place 1 lb beans (about 2 cups) and 6-8 cups water in large saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil on medium-high; boil 2 more minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour. Drain and rinse beans (discard soak water). Overnight Soak: Place 1 lb beans (about 2 cups) and 6-8 cups water in large saucepan. Cover and let stand overnight (or at least 6-8 hours). Drain and rinse beans (discard soak water). Cooking Instructions: Place presoaked beans and 6 cups fresh water in large saucepan; cover and bring to just boiling on medium-high. Reduce heat to low simmer, gently, with lid tilted, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours stirring occasionally, or until tender. (Makes about 6 1/2 cups cooked beans). Note: Stir very little to prevent breaking of skin; add, water if needed, during cook time.

  • Enhances Your Menu -these legumes are perfect for enhancing any meal and menu. After soaking and boiling them, serve the beans alongside rice, mashed into refried beans for burritos, or served with a variety of meats and spices. You can even enrich their flavor by soaking them in a hearty barbecue sauce or a zesty and savory chili.
  • Nutritious - rich in protein and mineral, the beans are a fantastic, low-calorie, low-fat option for health-conscious consumers. They're low-sodium, cholesterol-free, and packaged with no additives or preservatives, ensuring a fresh flavor and homegrown taste. • Better than Canned Beans - Although dried beans may take longer to cook and require a soaking process, they have many advantages. While canned beans may seem either too firm or too mushy, your staff can control the firmness of the beans as they cook them. Plus, they're cost-effective and easy to store.
  • Healthy Food - many benefits including reducing cholesterol, decreasing blood sugar levels, and increasing healthy gut bacteria. They are also a great replacement for meat as a source of vegetarian protein.
