About Our Coconut Chutney

Coconut Chutney is a popular and favorite accompaniment to go with many South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, vada and pongal. It pairs really well with our Kitchari and can also be used as a side for vegetables, rice dishes, tacos, etc.

We were not a big fan of the frozen Coconut Chutneys in the Indian groceries. Takes too long to thaw and is not convenient for travel. So we decided to solve that problem.

Directions

Coconut Chutney is best enjoyed in a creamy consistency. If left sitting for long, the coconut over hydrates and the creaminess is lost. You can add more water and make it creamy.

Mix 2.5 tablespoons of water to 2 tablespoons Coconut Chutney Mix and stir well. Optional - add two drops of non-toasted sesame oil. Stir well and enjoy.
