This Mt. Jiri Joongjak (third pluck) Jaksul ("sparrow's beak") Balhyocha (oxidized tea) Hwangcha (yellow tea) is a taste of spring in your teacup. Hand plucking only the tender first flush buds and leaves of late April, after Gukwoo (the first spring rain), the farmers then wilt, roll, oxidize and dry the tea and to provide the sweet flavors and scents of the finest Joongjak ("medium beak") tea.

Jaksul refers to the shape of the iconic "bud and two leaves" found at the tip of spring growth on the camellia sinensus bush. The two spreading leaves resemble an open bird’s beak and the emerging bud looks like its tongue sticking out.
