This Mt. Jiri Daejak ("large beak") Jaksul ("sparrow's beak") Nokcha (green tea) is a taste of spring in your teacup. Harvesting only the tender first flush leaves of mid May, around Soman (the time of "plump grains"), the farmers then roast the buds and leaves to prevent any oxidation, thereby maintaining the delicate green color and subtle flavors and scents of the finest Daejak ("large beak") tea.

Jaksul refers to the shape of the iconic "bud and two leaves" found at the tip of spring growth on the camellia sinensus bush. The two spreading leaves resemble an open bird’s beak and the emerging bud looks like its tongue sticking out.
