Meet the Maker: Jeff Worn

Purely Pecans was founded by Jeff Worn, a multi-sport athlete who knows how much his athletic performance is dependent on a clean and nutritious diet. Jeff set out to create a nut butter product that was not only delicious, but also free of additives like the preservatives, sugars and emulsifiers found in most nut butters. In the process, he created a creamy, velvety rich raw pecan butter made from only the purest ingredients.

Worn’s products are made by South Georgia Pecan Company in Valdosta, Georgia, which is right in the heart of Pecan Country. South Georgia Pecan Company began in 1913 as a small shelling plant before being purchased by the Worn family in the 1980s. As a shell-to-shelf processor, it makes its products with pecans right off the farm, combining them with the purest ingredients and perfecting them right in its plant.
