Linkosuo is a Finnish family-owned company dating back over 75 years and still under the ownership of the original founding family. The fourth generation is currently involved in the business operations. By producing ingenious product innovations, the company has grown to become a significant player in the bakery market. The Linkosuo bakery leads the way in its class in terms of size and technology.

Environmental responsibility

Linkosuo was already aware of environmental issues at the end of the 1960's when the new bakery was constructed. The most significant step taken at that time was to be the first company in Finland to introduce transportation of flour by tanker. The next important step was to introduce the use of natural gas in the 1980's, which was also when the company began sorting waste. Today, the most important challenges in this sector are found in recovering waste heat and in continuous development of production towards ever more environmentally-friendly procedures. Linkosuon Leipomo Oy has an environmental programme aiming at minimising the environmental load caused by the company's own operations.

Crispy breads have been part of Linkosuo product portfolio since the 1960's. Our basic products include larger crispy breads Varrasleipä which is made using 100% rye.
