Podravka Fant Seasoning Mix For Beans
Fant for beans and stews is based on an original recipe with a selection of natural seasonings and dehydrated vegetables to give excellent flavour. Cooking time is significant shortened, and meal preparation made easy. Use it when making beans with sauerkraut or turnips, beans with barley, beans with meat, winter stews, and more.
Bean stew with cabbage
Ingredients
300 g fresh cabbage
3 tablespoons oil
150 g Kranj sausages (2 sausages)
50 g pancetta
1 package chopped tomatoes (390 g)
1 packet Fant for beans and stews
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tin brown beans (800 g)
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Directions
1. In hot oil, fry sliced sausages and cubed pancetta. Add in chopped tomatoes and sauté over low heat about 5 minutes.
2. Mix contents of Fant packet with 100 ml warm water, and let stand several minutes.
3. Add in water and Fant mixture.
4. Add chopped cabbage, bring to the boil and cook another ten minutes. Mix in balsamic vinegar. Rinse and drain beans, add to pot. Cook another 5 minutes.
