Our vision at Indus Organics is to provide healthy organic food to everyone.

Indus Organics provides 100% certified organic products for retail and bulk wholesale.

We promote biodiversity and sustainable organic farming techniques. Our farmers have not used chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or genetically modified seeds at any of our plantations. We offer products that are grown in natural and sustainable environments without disrupting the native ecology. Indus Organics procures organic products from thousands of environmentally-conscious farmers before processing and worldwide distribution to satisfied customers.

Properties of Coconut:

Coconuts come from the coconut palm tree, Cocos nucifera. The coconut fruit is technically not a nut, but rather a drupe. The plant can grow up to 98 feet tall, and produces its first fruit in six to ten years, but does not reach peak production until fifteen to twenty years of age. A full-sized coconut weighs approximately 3.2 pounds. The origins of the plant are still being debated, but the general consensus is that it originated in the Indian-Indonesian region and was dispersed around the globe by float distribution.

How to use Coconut:

Different parts of the coconut have various uses. The husks and shells are employed as fuel and are a source of charcoal. Coconut oil is widely used in the beauty industry due to its chemical structure which lends itself to easy absorption by the skin. The seeds are turned into cooking oil and margarine. The water is consumed as a beverage. The milk is used in mixed drinks and in cooking curries. The meat is eaten both fresh and roasted, by itself or mixed into candies and desserts.
