Ajwain seeds, also known as carom seeds, are a seed-like fruit and are related to coriander, cumin, and fennel. Ajwain is used in Indian and Middle East cooking. It has a strong, complex taste incorporating mint, oregano, cumin and anise. As such, a little goes a long way.
