Buckthorn Jam, like Black Currant, is not very well known in America. Buckthorn Jam is orange in color and is marbled with bits and pieces of Buckthorn berries. It is fragrant and tart, making it nice to eat with cheeses. It pairs perfectly with salty cheeses, which bring out the masked sweetness of the Buckthorn Jam. This Jam also is a nice ingredient to add into marinades for chicken or pork.
