Our AIP Carob Cake mix is a rich, “chocolatey” substitute that will be a hit at any special occasion. We left out the grains, eggs, dairy, nuts and seeds, so you can have your cake, and eat it, too! Make your own cake into a small layered thing of beauty or cupcakes for a birthday celebration.

One mix makes one 8” round organic roasted carob cake, 14-16 cupcakes or two 6” round cakes to layer and make it fancy for a celebration! Make a decadent treat to celebrate important life milestones, or simply to surprise friends and family with bakery & dessert gifts that are sure to delight the senses. Both kids and adults will love the rich, velvety texture of this carob powder organic cake mix.

Put down the aip cookbook for this vegan dessert! You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make: simply add maple syrup, coconut milk and oil, and after baking you’re left with a rich flavor and a tender crumb comparable to “real” cake. For a more decadent dessert, you can add an aip compliant frosting to your cake. Try our salted caramel frosting recipe with shredded coconut to make a copycat German “chocolate” cake. Or simply top with coconut whipped cream. If you’re short on time, make brownie style snack bars. Add in unsweetened carob chips, and maybe some crunchy coconut chips or tigernut flakes, and skip the frosting altogether.

Baking Tip: This batter will not rise much. The toothpick test will let you know that your cake is done when it comes out clean.
